Military medicine dangers: Glendale soldier's battle from hell and back

Team 12's Mark Curtis highlights a drug that causes damaging side effects, especially in soldiers.

I love our veterans. That’s why stories like this are so hard.

But they are vitally important. More than 1 million Americans are believed to have taken the anti-malaria drug called Mefloquine.

But veterans, former Peace Corps volunteers, government employees and world travelers say they’ve suffered acute side effects that are getting progressively worse.

This is one soldier's story, his battle, his trip to hell and back.

The good news is he’s found his calling with a ministry that he and his wife run called Warfighter Ranch.

And to all who served and all who wore the uniform, thank you for your service.
